welcome readers & writers ~ happy sunday! i opened my inbox last night to find that my new YA writing, mommy-being, animal-loving, super-blogging friend, Michele Shaw has given me an award! it is an honor to accept the versatile blogger award, which bloggers bestow on one another in recognition of a great blog. the support and positive energy in the blogging world have taken me by surprise - what a joy!  thank you, thank you michele :) there is a particular process for passing on the award ...

So here goes.  Seven things about me:

uno  Fav. books as a child: Little House on the Prairie series, Laura Ingalls Wilder

dos  Fav. books as a young adult: The Keeping Days series by Norma Johnston

tres  Now I have a slew of fav. books. All time favorites include Ladder of Years by Anne Tyler, The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, and In Dark Water by Murmer Blakeslee.

quatro  I love to quote movie lines. It runs in my family of origin - whenever we're together it's sometimes a whole conversation made up of movie quotes! My husband is finally starting to learn the language.

cinco  Speaking of movies, some all time favorites (and it pains me to choose just three here, but you haven't got all day) include: Love Actually, Tootsie, Once

seis  Favorite do-dad: the Jane Austen action figure my boys gave me for Mother's Day last year. I love her. She is my friend.

siete  Since I started writing in earnest, ten years ago, my life has been infused with joy and adventure of the fiction and non-fiction variety. Blogging is just another extension of that happiness. Thanks for writing with me!
